It'll be more than Bdawg striking you if you carry on

Let me guess, you have bought a 'knuckle duster' off ebay ?

More like a 'Feather Duster' for you

A feather duster won't be much use but one of your 23 kg 'replica' alpina wheels should do the job !

i know this car,it belonged to a friend who sold it to a local guy recently,he spent a bit of cash getting the bodywork work right but fitted aftermarket springs when a front one broke iirc it was euro car parts springs he fitted

,i have the other 3 original springs in my workshop, your right about the brakes they were awfull and the engine never felt as good as it should have but its a fantastic car good luck with it.

Euro car part springs!!

How could someone inflict this fine chariot with that sh*t! No wonder it feels bouncy! Get some Eibach springs on there, i doubt you will be able to get an original alpina spring anymore.

Have already spoken to Cooks Ferry in N London, but they say they do not do bodywork.
Is there not a one stop shop ANYWHERE in London that are experts with E30's?
I'm almost thinking about sending the car to Sytners to get it all done there, but no doubt that would be ridiculously expensive, but also I'm thinking they won't neccessarily be E30 experts.
The springs are obvious - I'm not happy with the ride. The brakes definitely need working, either an overhaul or a complete rekit - any ideas?
Finally, need to do compression tests on the engine to make sure it's fit.

Yep, they're being sorted out.
The very helpful Mr Warburton sold me some good rear lenses, but I forgot I needed to buy the 4-bulb bulb holders to go with them. (the manky Max Power lights currently fitted are the 5 bulb version).. The holders should arrive any day now and the cars back end will be looking correct again.

This C2 doesn't need a resto, its mint! By the sounds of it, it needs a bit of attention mechanicaly but nothing major.

I can personally vouch for this car (while in Hap's ownership) as he never scrimped on anything it needed. He was a bit of a perfectionist when it came to his car.
It is a lovely example. It was still very tight and pulled very well when I was in it.
Nice find! I bet Hap wishes he could have it back!

re the brakes; bear in mind that early E30 brakes were crap to begin with - an overhaul might not be enough if you're used to modern brakes (mine are scary, but I know they're working correctly and anyway I'm used to them).
I know of someone who was doing a E28 brake upgrade on one, which if I'm not mistaken was what they used for the B6 3.5? (May be conjecture)

B6 3.5 uses 296mm discs with mercedes calipers. Was an option on B3/C2 2.7's.

Yes I'm not averse to a complete kit change, but would rather first see if it benefits from an overhaul.
I got out of this car the other day and used the wifes golf because I didn't want to take the C2 out in the rain. I put the brakes on and nearly put myself through the window!

stainless lines or even a brake fluid change to something like ATE super blue will have a nice change to the pedal feel and obviuosly help the brakes.
Southways in Wembley are a good bodyshop and know E30's well. I've seen some nice jobs on a few E30 M3's and only heard good things from picky people about them
