i was thinking about buying a fuel tank from alloy products to put in my spare wheel well instead of getting a tank guard made up for my current one. so i was under the car yesterday and realised the the fuel tank isnt actually as far back in the car as i though and its sitting level with the bottom of the car. where as a tank in the boot would be hanging right out over the rear wheels. would this give me any dodgy handling problems if i did this?
cheers
mike.
tank in the boot.

no it wont. there was a discussion on the ren5 owners club about this as i was doing this to a customers ren5.
i did this to my first track car and after dropping the old tanks found it sat high at the back. the alloy tank weights next to nothing (will weight it tues)
and most race cars seem to have them in the boot. hope this helps.
