Hello Si,

They are actually reps, but they are 8.5 x 19 Fronts and 9.5 x 19 rears with 235/35/19s and 265/30/19 rears :D

Seem to be nice quality, I guess time will tell. They have such a seductive dish I could not resist winkeye

Si, glad to see the Pina is making progress. I will try and make the next Ace meet, may see you there hopefully.

320ise, check out BMautosport.co.uk mate, loads of BM rims originals and reps. Mark who runs the place is a star.

Cheers all, I am very happy with them. I think the M Parallels are the best rim on the E39, what I like is that these are just a refinement of that theory.

Going to be looking at chopping the E36 touring in for one of these.

What were the 'issues' Mark?

Happy with the car?

Not sure if they will be too big for an E34, the seem to have issues with 19s, they do them in the 18" fitment though. They were from Bmautosport in Eastbourne.

Hello Si,

I was having a little problem with it cutting out after a short journey then being restarted when neither hot or cold. I cleaned up the ICV and since the colder weather have had no problems. If it continues when the weather warms up it may be the Cam sensors (1 for inlet and 1 for exhaust) which can fail around the age of mine and is a common problem apparently. I also had a problem with my boot glass not opening although that just turned out to me the microswitch.

I love the car mate, it is smooth, quiet, quick and comfortable. If you can get a Sport as they sit much nicer and have the excellent sport seats and none of that nasty wood trim (although it was an option so some do have it). Sport tourings are relatively rare but there are some nice ones to be had, they are cheaper in manual form (if you can find one - I couldn't !)

What type are you after ? A V8 or a six pot ?
Mark.

They will be fine. Late M5 E34 where on 245/40R18, so 245/35R19 and 275/30R19 have the same owerall diameter. And as mine is 520iA (automatic gearbox  ) there will be no difference in performance (more precisley lack of performance). Just for better look. And I know that the whole suspension must be in top condition (to aviod tramlining).

Quite alot wider though mate, you get rubbing with 275s on the back of an E39... so be careful. Thats why I went with 265 rears.

I have driven a 520i Auto E34, was a nice car but indeed was slow so no chance of denting the "performance"

Well the need has arose to become a two car family as my hours and job role (travelling around alot more) are changing and the missus does not really like driving the E39 as she finds it too big and intimidating. Plus it will no longer be cost effective to keep the 530i and a practical diesel will follow. I will hopefully be getting a cheaper fun/track BMW to use so maybe an E30 will return to the drive.

It is on pistonheads/ bmwcarshowroom / trader etc...
