I've done something vaguely similar. The hardest part is the cylinder head flange, you really don't need to butcher an M20 inlet and if you start from scratch you get the option of moving the injectors away from the head too (although you could anyway I guess)

Why would you want to move the injector from the head?

Better fuel presentation so more power
If you have a look at some of the BTCC engines, they have the injectors (still just one per cylinder) outside of their ITBs. Of course this means the fuel impinges on the butterflies when they're closed but it doesn't seem to cause them any problems running around the paddock.
Like all things it's a balancing act though as too far away will mean lots of fuel drop-out at low engine speeds which might not be so good for economy on a road engine.

No worries at all dudeAnt wrote:^ hence my Q's via Oakey Alex, not second guessing you dude, just one of many reasons I could have "fun" on the B27
I honestly don't think you'll have any issues with drop out, I'd recommend connecting up the FPR to the Vac line though just to get the fuel pressure down a bit on light throttle

The whole reason for inputing fuel sooner is better atomization and when you are running 600hp/liter it becomes a challenge getting fuel working well enough with air.. so more time is needed. we are talking ultimate dragster setups here. 8cyl, 36injectors and so on.
In a production car setup or similar, the only benefit is cooling down the intake charge and getting the fuel better atomized with the air, which is not a concern in a road car to be hones as you could just as well inject even more fuel in.
but it´s for the racing fuel concervative ..

Don't see why not.
The slightly wet wall you get with upstream injectors shouldn't be any worse than the wet valve head you get with the injector by the head bearing in mind that the fuel is injected in two halves unless you're running sequential injection, so half goes in when the valve's shut, and the other half when the valve's open.....loosely speaking.

Why would you want to create any kind of venturi? You're not needing to lower the pressure at any point in the system so just a plain and simple pipe with a bell-mouth will domidnight wrote:na im prob gonna make up the plenum and mounting for a single 2wd cosworth throttle body and modify it for use with anti lag, and ad ram pipes into the plemum to create venturies into the cylinders
Go for a bigger throttle body too, with a nice progressive linkage

Looks like it comes with a cable yolk on it? Guess it'd be easy to swap the throttle cable for one which can wrap around the yolk.
