What money does the 325ix fetch in good condition?
I got offered a white 1 a few years ago for £600 but he messed me about but i think he's still go it.

I had one for three years and a scapper. How many ix's have you owned or even driven to come to these conclusions?
Whys that?
Because they are not "like driving a more powerful 320" thats just a plain stupid comparison.
Nothing is like driving a 320, well maybe an is
I have plenty of ix spares if anyone needs any and I have a contact in Germany for spares & cars if anyone is interested in importing one.
i've owned 2 of these cars a saloon and a touring and still have the touring now.

Hi,chivas wrote:if you're looking for a 325iX, i would VERY HIGHLY avoid autotragics. they are slow and really takes the fun away from driving an E30 or a BMW for that matter. the other issue with the iX auto's is how the auto tranny fluids seep into the transfer-case causing issues.
i have an 88 325iX and it's one of the "weird" years for USDM. it came fully loaded with leather everywhere but no ski pass. like someone here mentioned, rust is the main concern of the iX since they are mostly driven in the snow/salted areas. i'm lucky mine has barely any.
2 other friends of mine have the iX but both are auto. the conversion from auto to 5spd isn't hard; sourcing out the parts... now that's something for the patient.
Hope you don't mind - i noticed you had a 325iX and I was just wondering if you would like any parts? I am breaking a LHD 1986 'D' reg, chrome bumper, 4 door 325iX. All parts available apart from the front end(Valance, bumper radiator, grille, etc) !! Had a slight accident.
Cheers

Theres nothing really that technical, not much over an beyond a normal e30.very expensive to fix if they go wrong from what ive heard..
They dont go wrong anymore than a normal e30 and as for parts they are all over german ebay and thingsa like tranfer boxes front and raer diffs are easy enough to get.
They are like has been said a little slower than a normal 325 for obvious reasons but they are very cool car, wish id never got rid of my 4 door!
As far as i know, the only 3 series with 'ix' badge was the e30 4 door saloon and touring, They did the e34 'ix' aswell in touring and i think the saloon aswell.Gibson wrote:really? interesting... im gonna start looking for one.... what body shapes did they do them in?

A guy came to mine the other day and bout an auto gearbox from me to fit to another of his E3's. He was driving a RHD iX 2 door with full Mtech 1 kit and leather M3 interior. It was a sweet car and rather rare!
Melv (on the zone)....
I spent a good ten minutes pawing over it, trying to convince him to turbo charge it or fit an M52 using an E34 iX sump (if that's possible).
