M30B30 is certainly not the weapon of choice, you can get more HP out of an M20B25 than that offers, however if the conversion and car are nice and running etc, its a great starting point and crying out for the B35 it should have had in the 1st place.
Worth a sniff, but TBH I'd not be handing over top $$ for such a creation.

The only gain with the M30 motor would be a bit more torque. Fitting a descent chip to a 2.5 would give the same gains and the 2.5 is a darn sight lighter.

Gone but not forgotten.

Like Ant said, if the conversion is ok then for as little as £200 you should be able to upgrade to the 3.5 - 215ish bhp and torque that a N/A M20 would be hard pushed to match.

I think regardless of weight the M30 will be better than a 325!
Not sure of the torgue figure on the M30 but it must be a fair bit more than the M20B25, just look at the difference betwenn the M20B20 and the M20B25 they re not even close to each other.

M30 will also have a forged crank (which is one reason why they're heavier than the M20 which has a cast crank).
