after a very long wait (a year or so), ive been bugging nick retro-wheels to make me a set of wheels, been waiting about a year and they turned up 2 days ago, i was so happy with them, i put some rubber on them today, put the wheels on my car BUT they are to wide and my car sits on the tyres.  8O

these are custom made by nick at retro-wheels with a 4" dish, bbs rm's 9j, et 5 i think. i put 205/50/15 tyres, but they are just 2 wide for my car. luckly enough for me as nick is a good lad he is making me a new set in 8j and that nigaro silver centers, just like the motorsports, as the wheels are for my motorsport.

what you think black or nigaro centers?
do you think the tyres should have a lower profile

quick question for DIPS. the touring you sold to bham lads has a set of bbs on them, what size are the wheels and tyres? thanks mate

(my azev A's are 9j and fit bang on)

Tyre profile is perfect for a 15.

Do NOT go for Nogaro silver - they only really look good or grey, black or silver cars.

Stay with black or the blue from your cab.

I would have thought your drop would also have something to do with this problem...

you could run some negative camber with a set of shims i guess if you wanted to keep that size dish, alot of the vw lads do it to mk2 golfs and jettas.

shame really as those are very nice, as i say though, i think 8 front and 8.5 rear would be a little more sensible, you'll still retain alot of the dish and it will make it handle better than 9's all round

will 1/2 inch less on the rears make that much difference, looking at those pics I still think they wouldn't fit.

1/2 inch is a big difference, if you look at the rims side by side the offset is raised to

they look perfect, just get the arches pulled out a tad.

surey it doesnt sit quite that low normally, the wheel with the brick under it is bound to be pushed up further than normal in the arch.

also why all the effort of a colour change / new set? just swap the 4in lips for some 3s on your current set and keep them the colour they are.
cheers,

harry

That is a shame as the bbs wheels are cool as fk......but the azevs do suit the cab if you do keep the bbs on i suggest you go nogaro gives a better contrast compaired to the black....the bbs must have cost you a bit

don't really see how shims would work on an e30 rear trailing arm. they already get silly camber when low too, although i suppose you could increase it even more with offset bushes if you didnt mind tyres that wore out every thouand miles :D

negative camber ftw, and yes i forgot the bm is a different setup :o: lol

i cant see much negative camber on that at the moment either, i think it's do able, its not going to increase tyre wear drastically, i ran alot of negative camber on my m3 and that was fine!

Image maybe not that much though lol

true what you saying, thats what i told nick, but he said its easier for him to make a new set as he has a set in the powder coaters, and he has the lips ready to go, then he can sell these the way they are.

SHAZ: these have cost me a few sheets, but well worth it, well the new set will be,

im thinking of selling my msport, if there are any serious buyers contact me on 07821220654, but the azevs will be sold with the car
