Really thinking about this for my 325i sport, giving for a new engine for an auto with only 55k on it and would like a new manifold, does it help power much???
its this manifold or leather seats???

**PLEASE READ**
All of you make sure that the manifold gaskets line up with the pipes perfectly on both manifolds.
The flange on the back section of my manifold doesn't line up, about 9mm out.
I'm guessing the flange has been welded upside down.
I didn't realise this straight away and have had hell with it the last 2 Saturdays!
Cheers,
Max

It must fit at standard exhaust, otherwise send me a picture at hottuning@hottuning.eu than we can take a look.

This manifold requires the centre and rear parts of a three part system. It will not fit a two part system.Ineeded to modify the front of my centre section to accomadate the sliding joint onthe inside of the crossover part of the manifold.I simply cut the bolt up olive section off the centre pipe.cut three slots in the end of the pipe to form a sliding joint.
Youth is wasted on the young.

I thought about doing that but i do eventually want to get a s/s exhaust so i don't want to wreck it.......
Maybe i can do away with the crossover for now and just connect directly to the manifold........

.................... no offence, but is that a serious question?
does your exhaust un-bolt into 2 or 3 pieces. get the answer to that and you've answered the question. lol

No, obviously a waste of time asking.SCOTT325SE wrote: .................... no offence, but is that a serious question?

Sometimes total newcomers need help on such simple things. It happens.
I found the answer elsewhere at any rate.
If I could physically get under the car and check this stuff I could answer the question. Disability prevents this. So I have to go a lot on theory and asking dumb questions.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Simon,
Yep.
I'm learning!
Manifold is ordered (thanks Louise) and the installation is already arranged for when it arrives.
The cat is going (well, d'uh!
...bit dinged anyway) and hi-flow cats are being looked at to replace the OEM unit. We'll work up an installation from there. Shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Yea, im sorry, that was harsh, especially if you have a disability.
Ive been around these cars for so long, that I forget what its like to not know what i now think are minor things.
In all honesty, i knew absolutely jack sh1t about E30s before I was a mamber here. I know i asked a lot of questions that I could have gotten shot down in flames for and I was appriciative that I wasnt.
I didnt give you the same grace that I was given and for that, I am sincerely sorry.

Scott,
Thank you. I appreciate your kind words.I do feel an idiot when asking some questions but sometimes I've just got to bite the bullet and do it.
I was better with Audis. LOL!
The E30 is a new experience (thus far an enjoyable and highly educational one) and as I get bits and pieces done I learn as I go.
I'll get there in the end.
