While in the local breakers, I saw two new additions to the existing 2 E30's they have in. They hardly ever get E30's in so I was quite excited. The first was a plastic bumper'd 4-door 318i in Diamond Black with shadowline. Heavy frontal. The second, and the one I got excited about, was a chrome bumper'd Bronzit Metallic 2-door 320i.

The black 318i has a good back-end (oo-er) of which I've taken the rear light units and number plate surround and tool-kit holder. I've also taken a few interior bits, but the dash, console and steering wheel are smashed (was a nasty front ender).

The 320i has got 48,000 miles on the clock!!!! It's absolutley mint apart from drivers door and front wing. There's absolutley NO rust on this baby what-so-ever. The interior is brown and is mint! Even still got the original BMW mats which are in good condition. I've 'rescued' the clocks from it. I put them in my Sport today, but they don't work. I thought they would with it being a 6 cylinder motor they came from, but it was an early one (don't know the exact age as it's got no plates on) so maybe that's got something to do with it.

Does anyone have anything (small) specific off either of these cars that I could go back for and get? I know there's a minty under-dash cover, good centre console and stuff like that. Even the bumpers are in really good condition, though I'm not really up for taking them off and posting them...

it might sound a bit stupid, but did the 48k one have front mudflaps?

I need the flaps and the metal fixings; I was going to go to the stealers, but if they are in good nick, I really like using original kit.

I'll cover the postage and a few pints. (you'll need an 8mm and 10mm ring spanners, and a phillips screwdriver)

For your own benefit, ashtrays usually get a good price on Ebay and they are easy to post
so do front foglights and any BMW bonnet / boot badges

Already nabbed the 'non-smoked-in' ashtrays and cigarette lighter to put in mine! No badges, already missing. As was the contents of the tool-kit.

Pretty sure it didn't have front mudflaps, unfortunately. Will check to make sure that it didn't have any on my next visit.

Karan... I suppose, but can't be bothered with the hassle. Might go check them out to see if they'll come off easy next time I'm there. Might be worth sticking them on Ebay I guess...

I was down the breakers a few months back, and I swear I found a coupe that was owned by a vicar (one of the breaker kiddies saw me looking at it and he came over and said he'd driven it in, so that's how he knew)
It was like.... well... Heaven inside....

the cig lighter was untouched; it's now in my BMW, still untouched.

from all the stuff you nabbed it sounds like you have a good breakers there. I wonder if all the ones around my way are subsidiaries of the main dealers as they are bloody expensive.

You know Ԛ—a Ԛ“IÔš'm looking for a dust capԚâ€a Ԛ“ThatÔš'll be 42 quid plus Vat mateԚâ€a

Seriously, headlight glass for instance is a whole Ԛ£4.50 cheaper than a brand new one from Eurocarparts, and you have to take it off. It really bugs me as they were probably paid to take the cars away in the first place. :x

Geeman I'm after a standard interior mirror (cheaper than ebay!) and some wiper arms, by the sounds of the car they will be in nice condition. If you wouldn't mind getting them for me :)
