All in the zone archives - been discussed many times! Search function will bring up loads of information.
Basically it's a straight swap. The biggest problem you may have is the connector for the engine loom to the car.
Depending on the age of your car, the new engine loom may have a different plug to the original.

Try to get a complete doner car and swap the whole lot loom and everything ,its not hard you could start adding bits of wiring to the 4 pot loom but its not worth it imho
Pull the whole lot out refit into new shell ,everything will fit straight in
why fit the 2.0 not the 2.5 ?

Why should there be any wiring missing from the body loom (except for 'check' wiring)?toneh wrote:Try to get a complete doner car and swap the whole lot loom and everything ,its not hard you could start adding bits of wiring to the 4 pot loom but its not worth it imho

Wiring can differ model to model ,year to year .
On my swap the fuel/sender wiring and obviously engine loom were different .
If youv,e got a complete doner vehicle sat there it makes more sense to me to change the whole loom, fair enough it takes a little longer but it eliminates the risk of cock ups a great deal ,because you know its all from the same source .
Like like you said in your sticky wiring warning ,dont assume all looms are compatable ?
