ABS or not, has absolutely no relevance to the flexible brake lines whatsoever. 4 line kit is for cars with rear drums, 6 line kit is for cars with rear discs. There is an extra flexible line each side on the rear of disc braked cars, from the trailing arm to the caliper.
The confusion arises from the fact that the 'lesser' E30s (316i, 318i and 320i saloons) all have rear drums as standard, but if they were specified with the ABS option, then they will have rear discs.

So i will still be good with the 6-line kit then, phew!!! One day when i do less than 60 hours in a week and not sleeping on a weekend i will have a good, really good look at my car!!!!!

I have asked Alyn to check into this but I think you are 100% right rear discs = 6 line kit

i checked Goodridge catalogue i downloaded it! it says;

The 6 on the end denotes the 6 Line Kit. It says that both types are Band A which i dont know what that means. they are listed on this link;

It's not confusing at all! It's quite simple: The catalogue is wrong - as has been noted on here on numerous occasions!
Just ignore all references to ABS. 4 line kits are for cars with rear drums. 6 line kits are for cars with rear discs.
All tourings, cabs, the 318iS, and all 325s need the 6 line kit, whether they are fitted with ABS or not.
316i, 318i and 320i saloons need the six line kit if they are fitted with ABS, as these cars will have rear discs.
316i, 318i and 320i saloons need the four line kit if they have rear drums, which they normally will have if they don't have ABS.
