A3 cafe by the Devils Punch Bowl cup tea bacon butty,
drive past BMW HQ (beep beep 2 x fingers),
then on to Newlands Cnr. good for photos,
then a pub generally have a cruise,

Too small an area and often too busy. Builders bum has a plan .........mattG wrote:How about:-

Really? Says who?Gortour wrote:Agreed. Shame Andy wasn't right earlier though. This was all initially his idea.
and here's the thread...Andyboy wrote:Now, BMW Bracknell aren't adverse to a mini meet happening there as they did so with the E28 M5. How about a mini meet there in March 2008? 25 years since the UK launch?
Get the local press involved and as long as you don't get headbangers with loud stereos or any c**k action it would be very good.
So we dont need to be a CC member to go along?Andyboy wrote:Really? Says who?Gortour wrote:Agreed. Shame Andy wasn't right earlier though. This was all initially his idea.
I think you'll find this whole idea was Iains. It has absolutely nothing to do with me whatsoever. It's not my fault if certain individuals wish to fall out with the BMW Car Club - who have INVITED the E30 ZONE ffs!
Why are you all busting a gut to do something away from the BMWCC? What kind of point are you all trying to prove? You can go to BMW GB with your car, along with the Car Club. What's difficult about that?

I can read my own posts, thankyou. I think you will find Iain was talking about this long before that post was made however. As I have said ad infinitum, the BMW CC are doing something and I have explained the reasons clearly why this Zone meet won't happen.- no need to get shirty with me because BMW GB don't want to know. It's not my fault.Gortour wrote:Sorry Andy, but here's the quote...

THIS MEET IS HAPPENING. IT IS BEING ORGANIZED BY THE BMW CAR CLUB!!!
BMW GB are not adverse to meetings there - just not with your crowd as I have pointed out several times.

erm - youre a tosser?
I Have met Andy a couple of times and he is a sound fella, although Andy has come across a bit grumpy there is need for this mate
Fair enough Andy - good on you :coAndyboy wrote:Not at all. I've noticed on a number of occasions antipathy towards the BMW CC which is entirely unwarranted, and it gets a bit wearing after a while. I'm not slagging off the E30 Zone, but on this occasion the battle is lost. It could end up where there are just too many events this year - the Bracknell meeting, the Ace E30 day, two things at Brands, Billing, GayDon and if we're not careful there will be too many events too thinly spread.
ivqii - mate, we've had too many tirades against that Ratch idiot to fall out. So bollocks to it, I'm cool mate. I've just been threated with a kicking on another forum so being called a tosser is mild!
Sorry if I've upset anyone, not intentional.Andyboy wrote:1.) The BMW Car Club and 10-20 E28 M5's, mostly driven by blokes in their 30's, 40's and 50's. BMW know it's not going to be drama.
2.) E30 Zone, 30 or 40 cars with noisy exhausts, thumping tunes, young guys making noise and generally being a pain in the arse. Imagine all the c0ck action on the roundabouts around Ellesfield Avenue. Security guards ring the Pigs etc, all aggro BMW GB do not need.

AgreedGortour wrote:Basically Si, we want something a bit different as a 25th anniversary celebration.
A meet somewhere for some decent photos, a cruise and a pub.
Not after anything too OTT, perhaps just places the Zone hasn't been before so it's not just another meet.
