ill put links up for the rest
but i was thinking that the head gasket was leaking into clyender 4
but it was the head leaking into 4
and 6.. theres 1 rusty bolt and loads of scum in the inlet plenum and it looks like a real bad gasket was used
as its falling apart in al the water gallery parts ,,that wasnt the worst pic of the gasket too
but dam i bricked it wen i looked at the block and sore chunks missing
then i remembered to take the gasket off
and block is ok!

Just out of interest, Could the old head be repaired by building the rusted parts back up with weld ?
And is that what they sell back to you as a recon ?

it does look like gasket failer .it looks like the coolants leaked into it and got to the face of the ally and corroded it.
i was woundering wat to do as the bottom end will be full of gunk too . i was thinking of dumping the oil
then filling with new shit oil and engine flush and then run it up and dump that for the good stuff.
or new bottom end! or engine .bear in mind i have noooo money!

Just out of interest is the head warped slightly and could this have caused the problem. Or was the damage around the rusty head bolt ?(not tightened properly)
