Hi every one
If you've seen my other thread you will know that im in the process of making my manifold.
Just wondering if any body knows a good supplier for mild steel tubing and bends etc
they need to be seamless.
Cheers

I got a 318i now and a choice of two lonely turbos in the garage. I'll buy a new MS, injectors, make my own manifold and 20quid volvo intercooler for a nice cheap set up.

they look like the sort of pipes that would be used in heavier industrial applications for heating systems or sprinkler systems.driftmonkey wrote:What are those pipes called? just had a look on plumbase website couldnt see anything like that.

Schedue Weld elbows guys.
available in many variations, plumbase local to me carry them in 1" up to 6" as stock.
commonly used in steam heater setups and industrial gas supply, they are rated above and beyond for the use we intend.

The best place to go for these will be BSS, they are part of the PTS plubing trade group. You need to ask for mild steel weldable fittings. Don't get the cast fittings, they don't weld too well.
Not all plumbase stores will keep these as they are a commercial fitting. Hence BSS are the kiddies, especially on price
