ive recently chopped out all the untidy wiring from the alarm on my iS and am left with the issue of my car not starting. it turns over fine but the fuel pump doesnt prime when you turn the key to position II. i'm sure its just the power to the fuel pump that needs sorting. inside the fusebox i found where the feeds for the alarm were spliced into the vehicle wiring and made good the few wires that had been cut. a picture of the top of the fusebox with all the relays in place for an iS would also be much appreciated. any advise will be very handy

Fuel pump wire comes into the fusebox from the C101 engine loom socket (just inboard of the fusebox) as a purple/red wire, goes through fuse 11, then leaves through the bottom of the fusebox as a green/purple wire. It then appears out of the duct at the back of the fusebox, goes across to the corner, behind the speaker panel, and down and back the LH sill. Goes across the back seat pan, to a socket that should be cable tied to the steel vent tube duct, then down underneath the car and over the top of the fuel tank to the fuel pump.
There are no relays in the fusebox that have anything to do with the fuel pump.

when i removed the dodgy clifford from my pina there was a wire running into the fusebox from the immobiliser which was joined into the fuel pump wire,i just cut it out and soldered the wire back together, dont know if its running yet though as the engine and loom is in another shell now

the alarm in mine looks to be dealerfit so luckily there's not a huge mess of cables but there were a couple of others that had been spliced into but im not sure what they were. i'll be getting the circuit tester out tomorrow hopefully and getting the fuel pump going again before it gets dark

i've been trying to sort out the power supply for the fuel pump today and am now confused as i have rejoined the green/ purple wire and there is still no power running through it. also the other wires i cut from the alarm were spliced into two blue wires with one having a black trace on and the other a red trace on which exit out the side of the box and down the n/s of the car to front of engine bay , and the was a wire to fuse number 26 so im guessing that was the power for the alarm. coming from fuse 21 which is a green wire with a red trace which also had something cut into it. thats all the wiring i have seen from taking out the alarm so i dont think there is an issue anwhere else with the car apart from in the fusebox. i did just expect it to quite straightforward but since the green and purple wire still isnt live i dont know what to try next without risk of a fire lol

Blue/red and blue/black were the connections to the indicators.
You do realise that there shouldn't be any power to the fuel pump unless the engine is turning?
Link across 30 and 87 of the fuel pump relay socket for testing purposes.

i put ignition key to position II and checked for power, do you mean turning as in the engine turning on the starter or just on?
also, which one is the fuel pump relay? thanks

Yes!
Fuel pump relay is under the bulkhead wiring cover, and is usually orange, but definitely NOT white.

When you removed the alarm, did you disconnect a plug from a white two pin socket with green wires, above the glovebox?
If you did, have you plugged anything back into the socket?

i just been out and picked up a white plug that had two green wires joined together and plugged it back into the socket off the loom that i unplugged it from when i took the alarm out!!! ooops! the car fired up straight away which is always pleasing, thanks for that. by the way i had plugged that wire into a socket coming from near the speaker well which has a white plug with a blue and a brown wire on it

Well done! I think you've just got ahead of me!
Plug with blue and brown wire sounds like the indicator repeater lamp on the wing, but that shouldn't be hanging around loose.

thanks again for for that! am quite pleased with that as i couldnt think what i had done that would make it not work, always something really minor tho just to tease you. indicator plug will be looked for after its new rear top mounts have been put on.
