Which hotel are you in Simon? The Dorint? I'm pretty well all set as well but am gonna book a Hotel today.

Got a choice of three I think - Dorint, the one opposite Gus's place and another one about 5 miles out
Need to stay in the same sort of area really, if only for the :piss: up.

Gold 320i, BBthrottle body and chip, Jamex susp, 14 inch BBS wrongness. And brown interior.

I'll probably be passing back that way sometime in late Augus, so I doubt if I'll be able to resist calling in for a couple of laps.
For anyone that's not been before - Practice on a Playstation or similar to try to learn the corners before you go.

For the skeapskates amongst you, there's a Formule 1 hotel at Koln. (Not too far away). About Ԛ£20 a night for two. Turn up after the reception has closed, and you can sneak a couple others in as well.

There is a campsite that borders the track, not the cheapest and not the best facilities but you can have huuuuuuuuuuuge fires - nowt beats kicking back with a few beers round a fire IMO :D - esp after several laps of the 'ring

Oh and i did practice on the PC before i went - and forgot instantly nearly every corner.
After nearly stacking it on the first lap ( i was so lucky i came off where there was some grass to go over ) then frying my brakes and rear tyres ( this was on a FWD car! ) my favourite was to drop my pace and watch GT3's and similar do what they were designed to do 8)

Oh and the locals that use the circuit are insane

Scary place - but feck me is it good :D

It could be!

I cant remember the corner, it was not too far into the circuit, fairly fast part, quite a sharp-ish rise and from the tree line it looked like the track went straight on - its was a left right hairpin affair and i realised too late.
Hit the brakes but there was no way i was gonna make the corner - and launched the car off the curb via the sump guard :o

Back on track, me and my mate looked at each other and i uttered "maybe i should take it a bit easier"

The feeling of dropping into the Karussell and hearing the front splitter catching under suspension compression will live with me forever, the crests and drops is what nothing could prepare me for!

:D :D :D

I wanna go back

Yep thats Adenauer Forst, newbies go off there all the time (so much so they've put concrete blocks down over it for this year)
There was a classic video made years ago (70's?) called Rhapsodie in Blech thats just loads of cars going off/crashing/spinning/rolling there :)

They should know better than that, you#re only supposed to pass on the left

But the locals do tend to have beaten up disposable ring-toys, usually stripped and caged
