I've seen a 4.2 V8 in an E30...

Who's gonna fit the Weineck Cobra's 12.9 V8 into an E30? Might have to sacrifice all the space in the car

There is a bit here about fitting the bmw v8 >> http://www.e30.de/v8/v8.htm
Diff, you would probably want a longer diff, and lsd.
Gearbox are 5 or 6 speed units, but V8 specific. Custom prop, custom manifolds, custom mounts, servo needs moving to the front (or getting rid of) ...
Unless you fit a 4litre one or bigger, the m30 is a better idea. Not worth the hassle otherwise.
