my sparco pro 2000's arrived today. and i had a go at fitting them. and as i feared the sidemounts dont bolt to the standard mounts. how have you guys got yours mounted?

i was thinking of getting some 2 inch box section drilling it to mount to the floor and then drilling it again to bolt the seat to it. this would also give me somewhere to mount the standard seat belt catch to. as we need to have standard seatbelts in our rally cars in jersey aswell as the harnesses becuase our local driver authorties say harnesses arent good enough for the road.

so any ideas? id rather bolt them in rather than weld bars from the sill to the tunnel or something.

cheers

mike.

Speak to uwem3 He's making some seat mounts that bolt straight in an e30 and have lot's of adjustability. He sold me an unpainted pair the other day and they fit perfectly and are super solid.

Give him a pm and I'm sure he can help.

do these have sidemounts on them. or do you bolt your own sidemounts to these mounts?

UweM3's sidemounts work a treat :D

Got some on my Sparco Evo seat and it's solid as a rock, though if you have carpet we found you need a 15mm spacer (2 bits of pipe in my case winkeye ) at the back to get them to sit right.
BMW and Opel, both RWD, both german, both good fun
