im going to ordering some sparco pro 2000 seats for my car today but i stuck as to what colour to get them in. will be either dark blue or black. the car currently has dark blue door cards so obviously they would match the blue better. but im also going to get my dash flocked so i could get my door cards done at the same time wich means black seats would be better. or would flocked door cards be wrong?

so stick with blue alround?
or go with black and get the door cards flocked eventually?

thanks

mike.

. . . . . . . Also why would you want to flock the door cards , I can see no advantage to this what so ever , Why not spend the money on something else !

I assume your doing this for asthetics only since if it as a track car you'd be stripping the door cards.

Which colour do you prefer? I'd go with black.

Yes as he said in a track car then most people use ally or carbon door cards , to keep the weight down but still remain some refinment ! (not much mind). The only reason i can see why you would flock the door cards is to look errrr NICE ? or am i missing something ?

yeh just for asthetics really. but im going to get some carbon door cards now as i found out mine probably wont clear the door bars. does anybdoy know where i can get carbon door cards from?

and i ordered black ones in the end. just stood next to the car and decided that blue ones would look rubish.

make your on carbon door cards.

two ways to do it
1. learn how to lay up CF
2. Buy Cf laminate cut to shape and rivet in place

Or buy them and spend 5 times as much as you would have on raw materials.

E bay is a good place to buy carbon sheet from. Like most things you get what you pay for. Personally I'd buy a sheet and cut it too shape. I thought it was real fragile stuff but if you cover in masking tape and don't go at it like a madman it's as easy to shape as wood/plastic. A little bit at a time. You can always take a bit more but you can't add and all that.....Dremel rules :D

Flocking a dash is done a lot by the rally boys to stop any glare/reflection from a shiny dash. Flocking door cars is just pimping! You should do it in purple and call yourself symbol
