Class A up to 2L
Class B 2L and over
Class C 3L and over
Class D Turbo / Supercharged / NOS / Regardless of engine size

Now before you all start wingin about Class D I will point you in the direction of
The Renault 5 GT Turbo which is a 1.4L that will do mid 13s all day long with a couple of tweaks. And with a lot of tweaks 12s

nothing, i was planing to post this yesterday, i just think the current cagorys rule out any stock displacement 325s and any non turbo m30s.

edit - thinking about it there isnt any stock (bmw oem) cars with more than 2.8 anyway.

how?

stock 325 would run in the B1 catagory and would run against 2.7 and 2.8 strokers, remembering that the highest power stroker on the zone is 250bhp and if far from ordinary most 2.7's produce 188-210 depending upon construction, but then the b25 with alot of money thrown at it must be in the 190 bracket.

A non turbo M30 would run in C1 as its over 2950cc and a period engine! and would perhaps be the only engine that would qualify. Don't know of many period engines of higher displacement being used.

Were talkng about a zone day out to Santa Pod on a RWYB day, its a bit of fun coupled with some healthy competition.

Don't think Santa Pod raceway would appreciate us hijacking the 1/4 mile for an autocross.

Maybe an idea for another event though!

aint wingeing, my cars hardly going to be in the running anyway as its purely a daily driver, just trying to cover all bases to stop the fights later on. which i sure there will be.

i guess it might be easyest to see whos in the running with what and tweek the catagorys if its needed after we know whats going to be there.

The whole pod idea was born to stop the willy waving and have a bif of fun. Most of the willy waving concerned BHP and 1/4 mile times and how they may or may not be directly linked in some zone e30's like the ones with tonnes of ICE and lots of show, versus monster power but no traction and less powerfull cars with good traction and no weight.

As cool as an autocross would be it on't stop the willy waving and would probably get us banned from the pod. As after all we are going to an open day its not just us going to be there!

It should also stop the arguements regardless of wether you take a prize or not!

Now let the willy waving/lame excuses/crying commence until September. :D

It says that a lid is required for all open top vehicles and cars that will cross the line at over 110mph.
