Hi all
I currently have a 3.91 lsd but think that will be way to short for a 350bhp e30 i'm currently having built ,as i beleive it gives a theoretical top speed of approx 130mph, which is no where near high enough.
the car will be used for trackdays and ring trips only ( in the summer i was touching 140ish schwedenkreuz and 135mph through the foxhole in a standard 2007 Civic typr r)
what are people running and what is recommended
Also where can i have the lock up % modified?
cheers

hi there,
its Byron I got those 750i calipers off you a while back, not really had chance to look at them yet
anyway ive been looking in to higher % diff lock up myself, and all it requires is some machining, and the lsd pack rebuilding, a good idea anyway.
check this thread out:

the ring which determines the rate of lock up is made of some kind of heat treated steel (mega hard) so will be tough to machine.
I've been looking at your other thread, and your machining work.
may be you should have a go at machining the ramp angles your self
cheers maggs

Hi Byron
I'm not sure about doing the machining work myself, it would be a bugger to hold on to and by the time ive made an accurate enought jig to hold it in place, i may aswell coughed up the cash.
Hows your build coming on?
cheers

3.64 feels quite short in a 220bhp m30e30 let alone a 350bhp turbo! I'd be inclinded to go for a 3.25:1 off an m3.
