Failed to sell recently on eBay and I'm seriously working out whether I can buy it.
The car looks mint and I know Adam spent a lot of time looking for a nice example.
The reason it failed to sell on eBay is because apparently it has had a new rear quarter... - Was wondering if anyone could a) Go give the car a thorough look over, or b) Run me a cheap (free?) HPI check to see if it's had any claims in the past?
Girlfriend has told me not to bother coming home if I buy another E30, so my two will be for sale if this is a go-er!

The car looks mint. I'd buy it myself if I didnt already have the Sport. An HPI check is only Ԛ£30-40 and will put your mind at ease.

Simple answer is speak to him. Find out what the reserve was and go from there. My M's previous owner couldnt sell it on eBay. I contacted him and we came to a deal.

Roger, it was a nice Audi, thats all I'm gonna sayhogweed wrote:How in God's name could an Audi ever be NICE?Adam's got a rather nice Audi S3 aswell, the M3 was his toy, literaly!!
But as far as my love for BMW's, well I'd have to say that Audi's and porsche 's have always been close behind, I lived in Germany for close on 15years, my old man had Audi's from the old sqaure audi 80, to the new A8, including a very special Audi 200 turbo treser conversion, pearl white paint, for a 15yr old kid that was the best car in the world
I know the new ones are heavy and a bit plain, but they are good cars for a different type of driver tho
But IMO anything engineering wise from Germany is normally pretty good.
Still would have preffered to have seen the M3
I hope it goes to a Zoner, keep it in good hands

i love audi's. i dont like the tt's but the RS4 and RS6 are animals. i have been a passenger in an RS4 and it is superquick. its the ideal estate. i love the s8's too. personally i love all the german cars. i like VW and adore the POrkas.

Talking about quick cars, i was out on my GSXR the other day and a MR2 turbo came up alongside. Thought what the hell, knocked it down a few gears at 40mph and opened up the throttle. Thought the throttle was broke as i watched this MR2 pull away, flaming exhaust at each gear change. Dosen't happen too much when out on my bike but this thing was just amazingly quick.

Mr2's are very quick, even more lethal when tuned up. i have heard lots of stories about the t-bars being unstable at high speeds, well my mates one was.

TT's are shite - a complete waste of space - my dad brought one home and i prefered his 525d
RS4/6 - now your talking.. i'd rather an e34 m5 estate (debadged of course!) now that would be a giggle

are you sure?going on cars built around the same time 92-94ishKaran wrote:

carfolio.com lists the
1992 3.8 m5 as having 340bhp, and 198.71bhp/ton
and the
1994 Audi RS2 as having 315bhp and 197.49/ton
and allowing for the losses due to 4wd on the audi, and the additional weight of the touring-i'd say they were pretty even...
however if it was the 1999 RS4 it'be 40bhp/ton ahead

I too have a liking for Audis - love the warble from the old 5 pots. mmmmm
On the way to the northern meet me and Cabrio327i were in our little convoy taking it easy and a bloke went past in an early VW Passatt estate, i'm talking A or B reg here, 5 pot warbling away, sounded awesome. I would have an old Audi Coupe for that alone and don't get me started on the UR Quattro! splumph! ooh sorry luv.
An uncle of mine had a proper quattro on a c reg, fist with the torsen diff. He left our house just outside middlesbrough at midnight, bound for london and was there 2 hours later - 250 miles in 2 hours - 140 all the way!
One of the quickest audis I have seen is at York Dragway - it's a S2 Coupe, massive turbo, nitrous, water / methanol injection plus god knows what other electronic trickery - but it's pushhing out 500bhp and he's running it on the standard transmission/drivetrain!!!! He even drives it there from Hartlepool. I'm sure it does high 11's on the 1/4 mile.
If I recall and I haven't checked this - he had a website for his business that had a page about the audi - www.dmoses.co.uk
I've never seen a road car get up and leave the line better than this thing, better than 750bhp GTR skyline that was there the other week.
apologies for the long post btw!
I am at work but evidently not doing a lot!
