Handing out trophies and vacating your bowel over and over does not count as 'other' duties.

A1 Under 2000cc Period Engines
A2 Under 2000cc FI/NOS/Not OEM
B1 Under 2950cc but over 2001cc Period Engines
B2 Under 2950cc but over 2001cc FI/NOS/Not OEM
C1 Over 2950cc Period Engines
C2 Over 2950cc FI/NOS/Not OEM

That then puts the 320 in the class of the 318IS as they are fairly similar power, 2001 - 2950 then moves the s50b30 engined cars out of the m20's category.

This then levels the playing field a touch imo.

(My idea my rules :P)
so that puts my cosworth up against 'is's with nos or turbo'd? i dont expect that to be much trouble winkeye
ill clear a space for my trophy now :D

Yeah well thats D6DPH's fault my original system was faultless! :D

D6DPH did nick my idea though, the hole class system and basic structure and frame work was my idea.

Biased agains B20's I suppose, but then I didn't expect many of them to turn up.

Did I mention I thought up the class definitions?

drive there, several runs, drive home no problem. its not as unreliable as you think. consider that i dont drive it slowly at all. i hammer it everywhere and it handles it no problem 99% of the time. its just that final 1% that gives it a bad name as that 1% usually costs into the thousands to fix :D

That's funny, I thought YB's were unreliable 99% of the time, and then that 1% is when it's reliable. :)

My final final final definate proposal for rules of the '2008 season of the E30 drag racing series' or '2008 E30 DRS' alternativly '08 E30 DROSS as I like to call it :D .

I think this is farer as it puts a certain cossie engine e30 in a higher level but puts the b20's up against the is's.

Doing my homework a b20 is 1990cc the cossie is 1993cc! So this should shut fuzzy up and level the playing field. I've also added the M car catagory to class A subcatagory 2 to allow for the 320is (if one turns up!) to run in the modified A class which is probably near enough right based on power, this is only applicable in the A class for this reason.

****2008 E30 DRS******

A1 Under 1991cc Period Engines
A2 Under 1991cc FI/NOS/Not OEM/M Car
B1 Under 2950cc but over 1992cc Period Engines
B3 Under 2950cc but over 1992cc FI/NOS/Not OEM
C1 Over 2950cc Period Engines
C2 Over 2950cc FI/NOS/Not OEM

No one runs on slicks, road legal tyres only.

Seperate prize also awarded to Fastest Overall.

Period engine defined as an engine with original block and head, any mods to management, exhaust, intake, valves, ect are allowed including ITB's, this would allow M20/M42 or other strokers which use cranks from newer models for greater displacement to run in the N/A class applicable for their displacement.

yes road legals only - I think it needs to be to run the Pod anyway, or at least have no obvious safety issues. Road legal defined as MOT held, if you tow it to the venue then tax and insurance are irrelevant as road legal requirements for the purpose of entry to the series.

It is obviously also an open day at the pod anyway so provided they let you run you will but you won't be eligable for entry to the series.

So for the 2008 E30 DRSeries road legal E30's only.
