There will be some quick cars there other than E30's.
A couple of my friends cars are useful
E46 CSL in white with fully sorted and expensive set up.
Mk2 golf with turbo TT engine.
Davetouring in his new toy.
Karan in his.
Should be a good day.
I am staying at the local travel lodge the night before with a few of the Northloop guys. Drivers sign on starts at 7.30am and no doubt I will be there for then. My car should arrive around 8am if it doesnt fall off the lorry on the way

Is the CSL the one that was built out by the ring?? That was in one of your ring trip stories??

There's a chance I might not make this now. Thought a dicky engine might have held me back but 1/2 hour after talking to Dave a M Tech a large (12"x6"x8ft) sleeper was dropped on my foot at work! If it's not broken it bloody feels like it.
Only my clutch foot but I'll have to see how it goes. Is there a reserve list?

Just got back from A&E. Not Broken

Badly bruised

Trying to drive home was very painful!! I'll have to see how it goes. Been told to rest it so work can whistle 'cos I want it fixed for Saturday and it was my MANAGER who dropped it on my foot
Reckon he owes me one.
I live in Harlow Jimmy. Spoke to John Wilcocks this morning and he put me in touch with the fella who does your car's. Might need some work done before Combe.
Not sure if I'll get to the pub meet on Wednesday but I'll try and catch up with you before the season if I don't make Bedford.
Cheers for the offer on sorting my space Gary. I'll play it by ear (or foot) for now or otherwise just be a passenger in my own car

Cheers for the offer Arron. My mate who's coming to help (the one with the simpson lid) can always drive the tow car and we could share the driving in the track car. He's pretty tasty in a Lotus Sunbeam so I trust him!!
Plenty of rest and I should be there. And some Red Wine to numb the pain.........Tonight not Saturday

Hi guys
have spent some buck remapping my car this week !!
I'm panicking about induction noise at bedford I think my TBs might be a problem any thoughts? I have some Piper cross socks to go on them but will that be enough- I think the exhaust wont be too bad - What are things REALLY like at Bedford ?

Simon.
The truth is if you fail a drive by you will be asked to leave. There doesn't seem to be any leeway. However you can get the car tested prior to the day if it helps. One of my lot is having his done on Friday I believe.

I have decided not to go flat out in the very first session to get an idea how much "room" there is.

Fitted an exhaust bung at the weekend. Hope I don't need it! At least I'd have an excuse for the lack of speed
Noise police get on my tits. It used to be an Airfield were planes take off and land. It's not as if it's close to houses like Mallory or Brands.
At least the Judge in the Bruntingthorpe case had some common sense and told the campaigners/complainers to stop whinging

Mine is close to being ready, few minor jobs which will have to be done after the day, but no drama there.
I was hoping to get it down the weighbridge prior to Saturday but I dont think that's going to happen now.
What do the rest of yours weigh???

I got so panic ed about this whole sound thing soI bought a maplin sound meter - great bit of kit
the drive by is 87.5 db drive by at 20 metres 101 static as stated by Mr Palmer and there is no second chance 1 strike and off!
the loudest we are is 89 drive by so we might be adding a motorcycle muffler to the back of the car!!
