Looks good, my only query is the I pod adapter.
I have an I pod but would not want the connector to go into the stereo, surely for future proofing it would be better to get a 3.5mm jack connection that goes straight in the headphone socket. And i don't care what people say there is no real noticeable sound difference between connections!

the Ipod kit was 60quid and to be honest I dont think ill come away from the apple ipod and its also a known sound issue that the ear plug out put on a Ipod is restricted due to health and saftey ie to loud for ur ears and the bottom jack has no noise restrictions
My merc run's on the ear plug jack and i have software which cracks the restriction on volume output the main benefit of this connection to the head unit is it charges the ipod and controls the ipod so its al done via the HU

Sounds good enough for me just down to preference, but i agree with apple, i always hated them but i love my ipod almost more then my gf. And i wasn't aware of the sound restriction! Kool love the speakers btw
Good luck

Looking good Neil but why not run a 4 channel MTX amp instead of the Jbl amp?
Audi S3 and Racing Puma track car.

Nice meeting you at the meet the other day!!! (dude in the BIG white jacket)
What im more interested in is the specs of the box for the subs and, how you fitting it?
I want some seriously low notes so im going for a JL W7 but the box is going to be tha issue in a cab... hope you got some ideas beacause i want to get it all sorted as its laying in the Bodyshop stripped!!!

I might just cut out my rear bench completley!!!

good to meet u to dude
Dont cut out ur rear deck unless u wanna weld supports in its place as its part of the cab chassis structure mate
there is ways with a cab but u have to get creative and look into different designs of box or fibre glass to get a good sub enclosure

Also, with a proper iPod interface, you can control the iPod from the HeadUnit. I have one and I can control Playlist selection, random/repeat and get full track name readout on the display. It also charges the iPod.
This means I can leave my iPod locked away in my glovebox. It's not about plugging and unplugging the thing every time I get in.

As the guy above says The HUGE difference with the iPod adapter is that you can leave the iPod in the glove box and never touch it. you control the entire thing from the head unit including track / genre / playlist etc. selection
I have one in my Cab Neil and its the nuts! I wouldn't even bother with the CD multi change to be honest. I've completely done away with mine and made more space in the boot.

I reject your idea of reality and replace it with my own

Thats a nice mess of spagetti in the car, its great when its all tucked away out of sight and you can forget its there

. . .
Always make me laugh that so many folk on here spend time strippng theirs cars out to make them lighter, all the wiring, amps and speakers for a decent install weigh a ton, but for me you cant beat some good tunes when your out and about
When she goes on track I may take the sub out just as a compromise

I reject your idea of reality and replace it with my own

I've got a Pioneer head unit, steering wheel controller and 6 disc changer in mine. I bought it from a mate for £85, he paid £500 for it 5 years ago! I don't know if you can get the remote control with the head unit your using but if you can I definitely recommend it.
Also I don't know if you've decided on where to put your changer yet but I've put mine under my passenger seat, it fits nicely between the hump in the floor near the front of the seat and the wire at the back, even when the seat's dropped as low as it will go.

I have the same sub as you Neil and a similar set up. 4 chanel amp running componets front, co axials rear, mono amp and sub. Even an ipod interface to but no changer. How do you find the bass with the roof down?
