Heah all this winter after my garage is finished i am planning to rebuild my sport engine... Now my plans are to lift engine out of car lift off head replace all valves and seals etc send head away to be pressure tested and checked... Change pistons we ends rings and big ens and get crank checked plus send block away to be checked etc....
Going totally over board here car is going like a bomb but it will give summit to do over winter lol.. has anybody under taken this?? Any pointers etc??? cheers guys........

How many miles has the engine covered, any signs of wear ?
Seems an expensive and pointless excercise if the engine is in good health.

123.000 miles starts first click.. no rattles even tickover goes well as cold as warm no problems at all... Super fussy i am lol... Just give me summit to do in the winter tho.... lol
P/s oil changed every 5000 lol... She has a little black reek comming from her on start up when cold... I reckon she running a little rich possibly due to K&N... or maybe a week fuel Injector maybe leaking..... into cylinder a little is it possible to get them tested????

123,000!!! Engine's nearly new. Most it should need at that age is new exhaust guides and a clean up of the seats.
Wait till it's done double that before you consider touching the bottom end!

If you want a winter exercise, buy an old lump to renew. More to do, and not a waste (or not as much a waste) of money IMO
