Looks nice but can do with lowering imo.
Are you sure the alloys are buckled and not just needing balanced.might even be the tyres if it had been sitting for awhile.
Whats your plans for the car?

yeah thinking about lowering but not entirely sure, i might but some bbs's on it and do an m42 swap!, yeah the alloys are knackered had them balanced twice and no joy still gettig shaking through the wheel, so got them up on a ramp and gave them a spin and they were quite clearly buckled, so put the steelies on and all is well!
so as far as plans for the car go im thinking.
1) speakers in the back as it only has fronts
2) OBC retrofit
3) repair slightly sagging headlining
4) more power!
not sure what else ill do ill just make it up as i go along! this is my daily driver so any engine conversions may prove difficult!

Welcome taldo50
1) you could try
- component speakers and an amp up front
- & the same in the rear - or just upgrade rear speakers
- or fit a small sub and upgrade small rear speakers (if you use a sub put bass filters on the small speakers).
2) there should be a second hand one available on here
3) here's a post I did about gluing headlining
http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... headlining
4) how much are you going to spend? perhaps try an A-Tech chip first - good gains on an M40 for not a lot of money
Cheers
Toby

before you bin the alloys....
do they balance up when the tyre place puts them on the balancing machine?
Many people have had problems with the Alpina replica 17" alloys and constantly getting wheel wobble. Usually the problem is that they are multi-fit alloys and the centre bore of the alloy is slightly bigger than the diameter of the centre of the hub on the car, so the wheel never centres properly when you fit it.
Some spigot rings at a cost of about £20 may sort this out.
Looks a nice clean car and it's rare to see an E30 without chewed driver seat

There is a proper pod type fitting for rear speakers, they fit under the grille by the rear side window in the top of the cubbys. It's a neater solution than butchering the cubby doors. If,on the other hand, you want bigger rear speakers,I have a pair of butchered cubby doors in the loft with 6+8 speakers fitted.....

hi toby,
thanx for the link to the headlining post, very helpful, im going to be upgrading all the speakers followed by a amp/new head unit install, not sure about 6X9's as id have to cut! and im not after massive loudness more quality than anything else, however i am quite partial to base so there will be a sub going in! where would i acquire one of those a-tech chips from? i presume they have a website? cheers again!
hi e30beemerlad, yeah i think they did get them balanced, i hope so because they charged me for it! spigot rings sounds like a good idea! never thought of that will try it! il keep you posted on my alloy wheels saga!
cheers

not sure of gains. Being a 1.8 m40 the gains wont be massive but should liven it up a bit and make it funner to drive
