original factory spec from VIN?

Hi Paul,

Hope you can help me, I'm looking for the original factory spec of my car. It's a 1990 e30 318is, last 7 digits of VIN EE46693. The main reason is to find out if the mirrors are heated, but I'd love to know the full original spec anyway! The guy at the parts counter at my local BMW main dealer told me it wasn't possible to get the original spec, but I've seen on this site it can be retrieved from BMW records (maybe he was just being lazy?).

No problem if theres a nominal charge for this.

best way to check is to remove the glass see if it has 2 pins on it and if the mirror has to cables for these pins
