Kam, its a small world. Many years ago I sold that engine , it came out of a fragged e21, i sold it to Peter Seldon and his son Matt who hail from sevenoaks direction. They spent a fortune rebuilding it and after much aggro and ballache sold it, and here it is again ! :)
If thats a turbo lump in that two tone 323 you have? that car rings a bell as well....... :)

Pacerpete, bloody hell, years ago I couldn't find any info about that M10 lump, and years later I'm meeting people who knew about it! Yep, the 323 has a turbocharged lump, I bought it about 7/8 years ago from a fella in Ashford/Staines Middlesex. Ring any bells? I think the blokes name was Mark Challand IIRC. Small world indeed!

I actually sold the 323i to Mark, I was informed it was a janspeed conversion, I bought the car as a non runner, rebuilt the turbo, put a pair of front wings on and had a paint job (Up to the windows i seem to remember) also put the alpina wheels on. Loved the car but needed money (old story!) so sold it on, Wish i would have kept it.
Pete, your memory is failing, The krakatoa lump was out of an E30 Remember the dodgy irish guy in the wheelchair? Engine sat under the bench for ages and we were glad to get £150 for it!!! My how times have changed.

Hey Bim, tell me more. IIRC, Mark told me he blew the original NA engine up and turbo'd the 323 himself, or rebuilt it in any event. He gave me some pics of the engine rebuild he did, the car had an engine bay fire too about the same time (those dodgy E21 Hazard switches!) and after 7 or 8 years of him throwing sh!t loads of cash at it I took it off him. And 7 or 8 years later now, after having thrown sh!t loads of cash at it, I've still got it! Tis a small world indeed, and yes, how times have changed.

I understand there was a 323 Krakatoa as well, my neighbour keeps going on about one he used to have whenever he sees me working on the car.
...or is it?
