another problem has raised its ugly head on my e30 .

apart from the low idle at bout 650-700rpm with the AC on.
its getting more difficult to start the engine when cold .

now sometimes the car starts only after 3-5mins of leaving it on key position 2. sometimes i'd have to give the gas pedal a few blips before i could start it .
its not consistent.

is it normal for an e30 to start without keep the foot on the gas pedal?
should it just starts without the gas being pressed .

any advice would be appreciated,

before the problem becomes worse.

cheers

Sounds to me as if the ECU thinks the engine is warm...blue temp sensor not playing?...

Hello mate,it sounds like the enriching devise is failing.(choke in old money),again as daimlerman suggests blue temp sensor.. as for the low idle when the AC is on, that sounds like a charging problem. have you checked the belts?

Check out the plug and socket for the injector loom, fixed to the metalwork under the middle of the inlet manifold.
Not just the pins and sockets, but for corroded wires under the lower rubber boot as well.
