HI, if your determined to do it yourself, you can get mop an polish kits from various outlets, but they do vary in price!, ive done quite a bit of polishing an busters motor cycle accessories are about the cheapest on kits. go down the grades with some wet and dry paper first and get yourself some cheap paper disposable suits though!, as its a really messy job.. steve....

Buy a black and decker mouse. They are perfect for this type of job. £40 from b&Q
You'll want to use some very harsh paper to remove the dimpled effect the metal has and then use finer and finer paper until you have a nice smooth finish with 2500 grit paper. Then slap some polish on it and buff up.

you can get polisher kits from machinemart which bolt to an angle grinder for about £12

the head and inlet manifold on IS were polished by a local company

still quality looking but you have to clean it every week or it goes horrible!! :wink:
