hi, i bin on the site 4 2months now and just thort id fill u guys in wid my situation.

i three months ago sold my reno 5 gt replica and decided i wanted cheap fast and practical weekend car as i now hav a company motor aswell. i rented a garage and go my self me babe of ebay.





as u can see she needs sum work. i bought her on the understandin shes got an lsd and an alpina b2 ecu (which as im just startin wid my 325s meant a little but not 2 much). apparantly chipped n re mapped 2. i was provided wid the standard chip aswell. also car is sornd and mot less so she aint bin on the road yet.

however i aint to sure now the more i learn about these cars. the traction off the line is good but 1 wheel does tend 2 break traction breifly. this shuddnt happen wid my lsd shud it?

also, ecu is different lukkin 2 my m8s and clips hav bin opened so odds r it bin chipped. engines idle is 850/900rpm which is a tad higher than my m8s and has a strange rev limit on it 2 but r there any other signs out there to spot these things and try 2 work out if they hav actually bin done or have i.

dont get me wrong but i aint dissapointed in her 4 what i paid i feel shes a bargain an just what i wanted but wanna no exactly whats bin done before i get her on the road.

put a floor jack under her diff case and lift the rear and spin one of the rear wheels , if the other spins the same way its a lsd .
if it goes the opposite way its a open diff


if its dry as the lsd is only 25% lock it doesnt always spin both wheels!

Easyest way to check ur lsd is to jack the back up and turn the wheels if it is an lsd the wheels will both turn the same direction if it aint they'll go oppsite directions

well if the tabs have been moved then its a good sign
about the ecu .take some pics n post them up , som1 will know.
undo (if its there )the kick panel under the steering wheel then
if you undo the ecu and pull it out 4 x 10 mm bolts i think and then unplug it and pull it out .take a pic of the out side might be a givaway lable on the front .

its easy to get these open just lift all the tags with a screw driver and open the case . then the chips in front of you !
chip should have a lable on it . if not it could be standard.
but if hes given u the standard chip and the tags are moved it most likely to be done
but about the c2 ecu i guess a pic on here of the front might tell alot!

The last owner has lied to me. i aint happy. no lsd. grrrrrr. im gonna travel the 100 miles again n kick his arse. i wuda bought it if it diddnt hav lsd but 2 lie 2 me just isnt on. o well. just bin workin on her 2day fixin things 4 mot. iv hit a problem tho.

the onlt thing that wud stop her passin her mot is the abs light. howd u go about fixin this 1?

Thats very similar to mine, but I have the std lip spoiler underneath and it has two struts that fix the middle part down, yours seems to float on the two end pieces...cool....never seen one of those before and mine def a Zender, says it on the underside.

May look a whole lot better when you paint it, might not, each to his own, mine had the spoiler on when I bought her and tbh I like it, it's not a m0tech one so it's diff.

Sweet lookin motor that dikky. Drives great aswell. It used alot of petrol (half a tank) coming back from midlands so maybe there chip is there. It felt faster then the weapon i have.
