I just prefer the less is more approach. As a matter of interest,Ive noticed alot of zoners seem to show a distinct dislike towards the poor e36 lol.Id always slate an e46 before an e36(except in m3 guise).E30'S rule though Obviously

I'd say the E46 is a better car than the E36.

The '36 is "victimised" because it's nowhere near as involving as the E30, and also E30 owners don't like the way '36 owners look down on them, which is less the case with E46 owners I find

hmmm,I agree to the first part of of what you say zay cause ive got an e36 323i and it's not as involving as the e30.It's quick but almost too refined. But i think it can be said that the e46 is "victimised" too cause its not as involving as the e36,and not as purposeful looking. That's just my opinion though.Bye the way, when i drive the e36 i give way to e30 drivers."respect"

It was, didn't get to drive it but was still a thrill :)

The way it cornered so flat at 90mph made it feel like it was doing half that speed but being in double time, if you get what I mean

The only E36 I've been in/driven is an early 320i and the only way to describe the handling is "boat-like". However, it did make a nice noise :D

My own E30 316i feels so much more connected to the road despite it being on standard, bouncy suspension.

Having driven more FWD than RWD cars and having "enjoyed" about 700 miles in my gorgeous brown Citroen ZX 1.4 (FWD obviously), I reckon a light, rear wheel drive car is the best setup you can have for an involving and fun drive, and I think this is why the E30 is so popular and more so than the lard-arsed E36.

Of course having the right amount of cylinders (4) is also important, nobody can argue that the E30 M3 isn't one of the best driver's cars ever made :)

Yeah. That car was done by an ex-mate of mine (Adam) It's a long story, but basically he went into partnership with another friend of mine called Danny(Dantec Design) Who has had loads of cars featured in PBMW and the likes (Same guy that built my blue cab in my sig) I'm not a big fan of flip paints, but the paintwork and colour of that car is amazing, so despite Dantec fucking me about and wasting enough of my money (Roughly Ԛ£10k) in doing up my blue cab, i decided to let them do the paint on the Rieger on the basis that it will be as good as the M3.

Some of you know what happened there, but for those of you who dont, They done the re-spray in some fcuking farm shed in Southampton. Now with candy paints, you have to spray the car with all the panels on as the smallest thing like your hand speed when spraying can have an effect on how the colour turns out (Hence why the Rieger is having a full re-spray again just for a broken bumper) Anyway, Mr tosser Adam decides to spray the car with the doors, bonnet and boot off the car. We picked up the shell and the colour was amazing (It looked like that apple toffee stuff you get at the fairground) The night before Max Power live last year, we collected the parts sprayed off the car to finishe the car off so it can be trailered to the show and they were all different shades to the rest of the car. It wasn't just slightly off, but completley off. I went mental and threathened to kill both Danny and Adam. They were both blaming one another, then Adam said it was the paint and that it kept reacting after about 5 coats. Anyway to cut a long story short, i told them i wanted all my money back or someone was going to get seriously hurt. I had Adams wife on the phone telling me he'd had a breakdown and had run away from home cause he was so scared. I gave her a date and told her i would be round her house and if i didn't get my money then the next time she saw Adam it would be in a hospital with parts of his body missing. She started going into one about how she wasn't scared of people like me and i could hert her and her kids if i wanted. I told her not to ever call me again. The date i'd given her came and i went round the house and after making me a cup of tea, they gave me my Ԛ£3k back and i took the car to J & J Autos who done the tangerine. I was gutted in a way cause they rang me and asked why the car had 7 different colours? I was baffled at first, then realised that the reason the paint kept reacting after 5 coats was because Adam didn't sand the original colour of the car down. He just put primer on it and tried to spray over the top. As the paint was still wet underneath it kept reacting and he just kept piling more paint on top. Because Adam told me the paint was crap, i decided not to use it again and went for a House of Kolor paint, which robbed my other mate Justin who made the paint the opportunity of having his paint on a show car. I tried to pick what i though resembled his paint that we used on the car originally as closly as possible and it turned out completly different, which is the result you see on my car today.

Anyway Adam sold the M3 for Ԛ£23k to the brother of another friend called Steve (His car is the blue E36 328 with super charger that was in PBMW last month and in their shoot-out too) and he in turn is now trying to sell it, but he wont get the money he's after. He was a mug for paying Ԛ£23k or whatever it was for a left hooker M3 to start off with. Now you can buy the RHD M3 cabs for less than Ԛ£9k. Danny bough a M reg the other day for Ԛ£5k so i think he's going to lose heavily on it. Blimey that was a long one

Ho Adam and Danny are no longer partners and i heard Adam is immigrating to Australia now and it's all because of the bootyman  What a fcuking shame

329 I'm trying to get that same candy red that i had before. If it comes off ok, then you can lick my car anytime you want dude.

Jhonno i went through s#it you wouldn't believe and it looks like there's more trouble brewing. I took my car to my mates uncle for a quick check over before the respray to make sure my engine was sweet as i dont want the car going to any garges after the respray (He worked for BMW for 30 years and was Mechanic og the year 4 times) and he told me some really worring news about my engine. I'm not going to go into details until i have confirmation, but it seems you cant trust any fucker these days. You pay your money, think you're getting a good job and everyone tries to bend you over and use some KY jelly on you. I'm trying to be clever and use my head instead of my usual rushing round with some mates and basball bats, but if they have ripped me off then they will sh#t all my cash back or i will close their garage down one way or another :x

Put it this way. I'm no mechanic, but even i could see straight away when my head was taken off that they hadn't done half of what they claim to have done, and the bits that they did was done so badly my mates uncle said he couldn't believe a garage done it. Example, i started to get smoke coming out of my exhaust everytime i put my foot down hard. This was because they hadnt done my stem valves properly and oil was leaking into the engine and coming out of the exhaust. I've just spent over Ԛ£1k with my mates uncle getting all their mess sorted. I was really stupid and handed over my cash over the months it took for them to do the engine and didn't bother to get a recipt as i trusted them. Now i'm tyrying to be clever and i've told Mr boss man that i need a recipt for all the work done and the money i've handed over as i may have a potential buyer for the car and he's not happy just to take my word for the work done. He actually wants to see everything in black and white with full details of all work carried out. He said he will do it by the weekend so i'm waiting. Once i have the receipt in my hand i can then get a fuul engineers repot against the things they claim to have done then i can take his arse to court. Failing that, i will shut him down one way or another like i said.

I've been fcuked over by so many so called reputable companies that my arse hurts now. I think they thought i'd never know about what they done, cause they were counting on me bringing the car to them everytime something needed doing on the engine. They never counted on me getting a 3rd party to check over it. I'm lucky i guess cause i only took it to my mats uncle on the off chance otherwise i'd never have known and they would have got away with my money

Dez you're right mate. I think garges see both my cars and think i'm loaded, so they try it on. I have to eat beans on toast to run 3 cars at the moment. I trusted the garage cause my mate recommended them to me after he'd had his BMW done there. They guy is also in his 50's and was always going on about how he hated cowboys in the industry etc. The deal was to pay half the money up fron so he can buy the parts needed for the buil, then the rest at the end of the project, but as he was building the engine, he kept giving me sob stories about how this person in his family had died, how he needed money to pay for his rent as business was quiet or he's get shut, etc, etc and being the type of person i am i wanted to help out. Before i knew it, i'd payed him all the money up front. Cause i wasn't there either, i had to trust them to do what they said they were doing. I had no reason not to cause i was there when they bough a sweet 5 series for the block and i also saw the engine out of the car, plus loads of pictures of the build, but to be honest, it could have been any engine and i wouldn't have know. Blood will flow before this is over if i dont get my money back. He also has 2 bla ckold mercs woth a fortune stored away in the garage. We'll see how valuble they remain with yellow paint poured all over them and every panel bashed in

ps how big are you exactly??? seems zone members dnt wanna mess with ya so why are these twat mechanics tryin it on??
how bout as many zone members as poss pile into garage and make em do a good job

What's an A between friends Daz ? As for the zoner's coming along to do this piece of s#it over, there's no need. I run a door of 25 doormen (60 in all in the group) and i'm one of the smallest out of the lot, so getting fire power to go down is a minor. Like i said though, i'm going to play it the clever way this time cause i dont want to get myself in trouble on his account. I will leave that as the last result. Besides, when i had my feature, bith PBMW and Max P rang him for the lowdown on the engine and he gave them some fat spec, which is what they printed in the mags, so i always have that as back up if needed.

Karan, i've learnt the hard way that people take advantage if you're too kind. From now on i'm going to class all agarages as enemies and be on red alert at all times. I would love to come to lakeside, but i dont have my car and it wont be back in time. It went in for the re-spray on Monday and wont be back till around the 25th. Hopefully just in time for Max P.

Exactly. Besides these people only get away with it if become a victim and do nothing. I intend to do plenty, so i'm actually really calm, which is a change cause i'd have raced round there and done him normally
