I haven't been down to work on it for a couple of weeks. I was supposed to have last saturday but didnt feell well. This weekend I have Cadwell and next weekend Spa and the ring, so that's another couple of missed opportunities.

The target is Bedford at the end of Feb though

Jimmy,

The car looks great!

I'm new to this thread and can't see any of the earlier photo's as they have become little boxes with red crosses.

Do you have the photo's hosted elsewhere such as photobucket?
(I hope so, as I would really like to be able to look at the whole project.)

Christopher Wright.

Hi Boffin

I have all the photos on my webspace, but the thread was getting viewed so much it was costing me a mint to host

I will get them all across to flickr and update it soon, just busy as hell sorting out PBMW stuff

Ian

The door pulls will reuse the hand rails that used to be mounted in the roof, saved 2 of them when I stripped the car ;)

Cheers for the heads up on the ECU, may put some heat shield under it

Well Shrek passed the MOT :)

Now has 35 miles on the clock (that confused the tester with a zeroed clock

It failed the first test on the emmissions, the hydro carbons were at 6500, 1200 is the pass figure and the CO2 was 3 times the pass!

New AFM and all was fine!

Got a few small bits ticked off the list too, sorted out 2 new switches as the heated rear screen and fogs were sticking, meshed the front grill to protect the oil cooler, adjusted the handbrake, and gave it a wash :)

Considering I didn't plan to do much on the car this weekend, I had a pretty productive day today :)

Sorted out the fuel system, new pump, filter and regualator fitteed

Then onto some ingition bits, new coil and new plugs

Followed by a job i'd been putting of, sorted out the front screen rubber (it fell sort before so the metal insert was to small) so insert out, into the hot water and back in, with metal join added. Then the back screens turn, screen out and new rubber in (the old one was split) new rubber in, screen in, and inserts and ends sorted.

Then I got round to fitting my lap timer bracket in the old clock slot of the dash

Last job of the day a good clean

Got a bit of hesitation in the engine, favourite suspect is a second gammy AFM, need to sort before bedford if time allows

200 miles on the clock so need another 300 this week, and then it will be a very gently drive round bedford- making sure this engine stays in one piece!!
