jus fitted my cruise control to my car i need to know which slot the speed signal wire goes in on the green plug that clips on the instrument cluster
i have a auto car one wire is already going to one of the slots think this is for the auto gearbox.
need urgent help as im going to take the car to work tomorow so need to put the speedo back in thanks

First off, pretty sure you can use any of the sockets on the left hand side of the green speed signal block (left hand as if it's in place on the car).
Yes, those 2 cables need to be shorted on an auto.
Looks like a pre-facelift loom, the connector is different on facelift looms.

i have shortned the 2 red/green wires i assume this is the clutch switch wire (normally connected to a clutch switch on a manual)
i connected the speed signal wire on to the right hand side on the green plug (as your looking at it stright on from behind the cluster
i connected two other wires i had that were green/red and purple/white to the brake switch wires
i connted the brown to earth
and one other wire that i had which was blue/brown to a blue/brown wire in the car i tried to test the cruise control it didnt seem to do anything
any idea what would be wrong?
