Nice pic above.
swapped a packet of cheesy wotsits or my 1st '30 in 1994
Current one was obtained by letting the seller "fiddle" with the missus for 26 minutes.

316i in 2005 for 750 euro, sold it five months later for 1750.
318is in 2006 for £1500 sterling in London and drove it home to Ireland, then wrapped it round a pillar four months later.
316I 4DR in 2006 for 50 euro, it drove five miles home without water in it.
316i in 2006 for 600 euro and transferred everything from the crashed IS into it, it's currently in the process of getting an M50.

Swapped a Sierra Sapphire 1.6 GL for my first E30, an 87 320i Chromie in Zinnobar red. All the BMW needed was an exhaust so i got a really good deal. Had e30's ever since, our current car is the 4th since 1999.

I paid £2400 for an 88 325iSE 4 door back in '96 with 140,000,sold it 3 years later for £1200.
Then bought an '84 318i chromie 2 door with 180,000 for £250 sold that a year later for £125.
And finally bought my Touring for £1900 which I've now had for just over 5 years. This had 154,000 miles and now currently has 239,000.

£800 for a nice straight 318i touring which had just had its head redone and a nice quiet top end. I got rid because the rear subframe bushes and fuel tank were at the "advisory" stage.
£1200 off ebay for a 325i touring which had a good shell and ran fine for a year. Its still a good shell but needs a bottom end and some crash damage fixed at the back.
