My local main dealer also said i would need a fuel filter ( 13 32 1 740 985 @ £22.70 + VAT )

Will i need this ?

£22.71 inc vat from me. Depending on the mileage you may need one but
I can't remember the last time I gave one out to an E46.

Price would still be the same to Northern Ireland :D :D

I Have checked the service schedules for your car and the Fuel filter is not part
of any service so should not need to be changed.
