When I sent mine back for rebuilding,it only took a couple of daysmikekean wrote:so wats the turn around on sending them your struts and you getting the finished product made. i share a workshop with my brother and my working area is infron of the door so the car cant be laid up for more than a 2 weeks really as he is also building a rally car and needs to be able to get it in and out the shed.
Will obviously take a little longer to add the threads and adjusters to the strut bodies
I was well impressed with there customer attitude and turnaround time

I've got the Gaz coilovers and the only strengthening mine has on the rear towers is a strut brace (whch is effectively Z3 plates with a bar between them).benjy wrote:And on this point you are absolutly certain??? Do you have a pic of these Z3 plates?UweM3 wrote: Fit a Z3 plate and all will be fine.
I'm still uncertain, this is a lot of money to shell out in one hit, not that i'm slagging! It looks the mutts nutts![]()
Do GAZ require a pair of struts first or is there a surcharge?
Cheers,
No problems so far and I've done 2 trackdays and about 2500 miles (some of those are on very poorely surfaced antqiue Roman roads).
ahh balls to it ill have a set - if there is a
reasonable deadline for sending the old struts off ?
are the top mounts you offer the adjustable ones
i will need to do some reserch into the spring rates i need so will need to wait till that is sorted but i think it should not take to long
can you give me a buz on 07866845511 please thanks

I'm registering my interest on these.
I have just disassembled my front struts ready for sending to Gaz anyway so a group buy seems like the sensible thing to do.
Might be wrong here (so please correct me if so), but i think you need to send the 51mm struts to be used rather than the 45mm struts.
I am building my E30 to enter in the PBMW cup (starting end of March). I just need to check if we can run coilover rear suspension as most of the competitors cars ive seen have been the shocker and separate spring affair.
As agreen has said, i will just need to look into spring rates. But i'm provisionally in.
Can we definitely confirm they are coilover rears ? Cheers.

i'm not after any as i have ledas already but a point to check with GAZ...
Do they clear the fuel breather pipes etc that run through the offside rear arch? the ledas don't so at present, i've still got my old pigtail springs on and have removed the springs from the rear coilover bodies. i think the pipes will need re-routing inside the car or something...

hello dudeoze30 wrote:I'll go for it.. as long as we can work out some spring rates for the ass end of a touring with a 55l LPG donut and an M60 in the front!!
prob go for same as mine: 600 front 300/350 rear
should be a good starting point and if necessary you can change from there. Those rates are track biased, even though mines a daily.

i'm not going to call him, i'm not looking to buy any! just thought it should be checked / considered by anyone looking to buy a set as it'll add a load of work to fitting them.elf wrote:hi mate sorry not been on been buisy.it would be best if you phone gaz direct as dave was originally half owner leda until he brought out.gareth wrote:i'm not after any as i have ledas already but a point to check with GAZ...

If this GB is still on then I am definitely interested. However I have run LEDA coilovers in the past on my E30 race car and the rears did catch in the arches. I want to be sure that this won't happen with the Gaz GGA units as they are going on a road/trackday car this time and I want to keep it a little more civilised.
Elf - I'll send you a PM with my details and would really appreciate a call from someone at Gaz to confirm spring rates and potential clearance issues etc. If that all checks out OK then I'm in and I'll get the IS on stands.
