No reply to email or P.M's? Jhonno have you got my delivery address? Getting a bit concerned over lack of communication.

It looks like it may be an issue with the company that's been used to manufacture the tabs.DRIFTBOY wrote:Anyone apart from BadDave got these yet?
Dan(Jhonno) picked up mine and sent them up to me,as I was happy with that delivery method.
It might be a good idea to let folks who paid direct, know who's manufacturing the tabs and there contact details(contacts name, address and phone number).
It would give them the opportunity to contact the Fab shop involved directly regarding the delivery issues.

DanThe has got his also..
Having spoken to them, it sounds like they have messed it up again. I gave them a drawing to make them, the previous problem was 'rectified', where I took the drawing up again and left of one the correctly orientated ones on their desk, only for them it would appear to rerun the wrong ones
They apparently are having to re run them again! Which has confused the hell out of me, as when I went up to get Dave's and DanThe's, they pulled a bag out and it had correctly orientated tabs in which were supposedly the rerun batch
I can only apologise and say lessons learnt with dealing with Group Buys.. I will take money next time and pay and post out myself etc
I would honestly feel bad about giving the company name out, as I don't feel what has gone on is an accurate representation of them.. Frustrating as it has been

As there's an issue with the one's sent to Danthe,I've just double checked the one's that were sent to me.
The ones sent to me.

And the ones in the post/I.E site.

The ones i've got appear to be the correct ones.

Just a guess, but i reckon they folded the wrong 2 edges meaning the slotted holes ran parallel to the raised edges.

Well, if you try a bolt into them Dave you will realise they have been made wrong! The edges should not be folded, the piece should be made from 8mm flat bar, they should be milled, the folded edge creates a radius which stops the bolt dropping all the way in, ive exchanged a few pm's with Jhonno about it and it seems he has filed down the edges of the bolts/washers so they fit flush, I dont like the idea of this as apart from the amount of money the firm has had out of this group buy the folded edge is much thinner and with a weld on the back of it its likely to distort, if they are making them again im up for returning these

A milled 90deg edge would indeed be better than the current folded edge.
Jhonno did mention that there would be a little tweak required to make it work as it should.
A proper milled set of tabs would be the preferred option, however, as they've mucked up 2 batches already, there's probably little chance of them doing a milled batch.

This is the trouble! I shall speak to them and see if they have started the new batch, if not then I will ask them to mill them.BadDave wrote:A milled 90deg edge would indeed be better than the current folded edge.

I have no idea why they folded them tbh!
The 'wrong' ones they did with the slot parallel to the lip as has been said! I get the feeling I am not their favourite person, as they seem to be blaming me for the error, when I have only ever given them 1 drawing and a even the above picture of what they should look like
