Think a few people have done it, only main one that pops into my head is Tim_s, only know as I have the car now! :D .

this is a short thread on what he done

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... sc&start=0

The M42club is also a good place to search about stroking an engine,

Good luck with your build!

Im doing a 2.1 project, does anyone know the part number for the 87mm je pistons to use when using the 88mm stroke m47 crank. This would help save time during my engine build

Went to Visit Janssen (Janssen-motorenrevisie.nl)

at tha back an Z3 coupé M

parking full E30

Janssen will be doin' the followin':

Make Cilinders 86mm
Balance and mout the M47 crank
Mount the pistons and rod

It Will be JE-Pistons, adapted to be mounted on 140mm rods, JE does all the custom work

adaption is just making the pen that fits the rod 2.8mm higher, so the piston comes 2.8mm lower winkeye

But!! Janssen doesn't make the engine run or mount it in my car... luckely het knew somebody who did this conversion a year ago, and only lived 2 streets farther

BAS ROOS Motorsport

they will make the engine start ready

and than the car goes on a trailer to http://www.boltuning-parts.nl/ to prepare the motor managment

the ITB will be a Jenvey

also bought some yellow stuff
