If you can tell me the correct name for the "fire wall" I'll help you out, maybe :D :D :D

It is :D

Before we know it, it will be all hoods, headers, stick shifts, fenders, we'll be having cheese with everything and shagging our cousins :D

*Answer. Remove the heater controler solonoid, the box that was attached to the e36, which will leave you with 2 pipes.

The one from the back of the head goes to the bottom pipe on the heater matrix which comes through the bulkhead.

Hope that helps.

apologies thank you for both of your very unsarcastic comments, bulkhead it is from now on. Relatively new to this. Sorry where is the heater control solenoid what side of the "bulkhead" is it? However thank you was unsure which one went top or bottom.

Thanks

Part *1 on the above diagram. It will be attached to the heater hoses.

You don't need the heater solenoid on your e30, bin it.

There are only 2 pipes coming off the engine. These are the ones you need, the 3rd that you dont need goes from the e36 heater valve to the heater matrix. It will be obvious when you see it.
