Nah im going to go into work on my day off (on tuesday) and use my ramp to get it done..that way my managers there incase i run into some trouble..hes one of the best mechanics i've come across so if i have a problem its good knowing hes around

Well i was earlier...


untill i DROVE it home!!! :D :D :D
i cant understand how anyone can live WITHOUT an M30 in their life!!! obviously gave it an easy drive home as the headgasket is still fresh but the clutch is working perfectly and i cant be happier! i will get the pics up tomorrow as my digi cam died earlier! :(

the howl of that straight 6 was something else tho..def know why everyone says a 4pot isnt the same!
straight 6 all the way!

looks like my idle/irregular revving is due to a faulty Idle control valve as i can move the valve inside just by shaking it :mad: im assuming this should only be moved electronically?

Is the Franky gearbox the same length as the E34 one, ie did the prop fit ok?

I think it is.. it looked longer on the car and the gear linkage/ gearstick sat back a bit further then where it is now but next to each other theres not much in it

iirc M20 idle valves are the same as M30, might help your hunt for one

Double check the part numbers though.

Why do you need a new ICV, if you got a dodgy idle it could be an air leak.

Dont forget youve had the head off and disturbed a lot of things

it idles fine its when i rev it i get problems..like i said before if i rev it past 1,500 it will just fluctuate by around 500 rpm so i started unplugging things..when i unplugged the ICV i could rev it normally...also when i shake the ICV it feels like evrything is loose inside..is that normal?

stayed back afterwork today as my clutch on my iS also gave me problems on saturday!! It jus suddenly went hard and it was very hard to get it into gear..and everytime i pushed the clutch a LOUD screetching noise came out of it

nooo this is my i.S :mad: i was driving back from my sisters on sat when it must have exploded! just let out a loud screetch and the pedal went hard!

not driving the 3.5 yet as it isnt insured or tax'ed yet
