Just rebuilt the engine, started all fine a few days ago, checked it today and noticed water weeping from the head gasket. The head was torqued to the required setting.
Any advice on what theis could be?

Thank you

Cheap gasket, head/deck face not clean, head face not flat or block deck not flat.
One or more of the above.

Ok guys thanks for the advice, it has been tested and all done. The gasket was from euro car parts so may be that. Thanks for the advice will update on how I get on.

Maybe try re-torqueing the head bolts again - sometimes they need re-tightening after the gasket has settled.

Not really practical with stretch bolts.

This is a strange one, checked where the leak was and there’s no water leak. Will have to keep an eye on it over the next few days

Thanks for all the advice so far guys

Sometimes, they will initially weep a little, then once surface rust/corrosion has taken place, they re-seal themselves...
