hi just got a set of motorqaulity bucket seats off flea bay to go into my track car.
can anyone point me in the right direction as to correctly fit these,
they have rigid mounts, can i just drill new holes and bolt them to the floor?

Yes you can but, i'd reinforce the mounts ie; 2x pieces of flat 5mm steel with a hole drilled in them so the new bolt can pass through all, place on each side of the re-drilled holes so the mounting point doesn't rip out the floor if you had a nasty at any time.

You'll have to do the same with the new harness mounts too.

Mine are mounted into the floor for the lap belt (using seatbelt mount on the outside and new plated mount on the tunnel side). Shoulder belts are mounted on the rear shelf.

There was a big smash at Donny (I think) where a guy had used the rear shelf, it was very obvious the rear shelf is a very weak place to mount harnesses

I have seen them mounted in the rear seat belt mounts but you are not meant to have that angle on the harness either

With out a cage and a harness bar, you may be safer with 3 point belts and a glock (or what ever its called)

True. The belt buckle goes with the seat though. Car's not in use now until it gets a cage (and an engine that works).
