Hello Chaps,
Do any of you have any advice as to how to insure my track day car in the cheapest possible way. I only require cover for driving to and from trackdays (not on track). I normally do about 6 events per yer.
Thanks

You need to find a limited mileage policy

Only if he is a trader. Far too many (non traders) run around with trader polices, when they claim they are usually asked for proof of trading, no proof - void claim.mattrs wrote:Or prehaps traders if your, over 25 and own more than 5 a year!
True, but you can be a part time trader and do just a few per year as long as you keep proof its fine.skyinsurance wrote:Only if he is a trader. I am in the same situation soon. Can you offer something?skyinsurance wrote:You need to find a limited mileage policy
Just need something which allows me to drive the car round the block and sometimes drive to the track and back. Most of the time I trailer.
My car is on a limited mileage policy, 3k/year and I pay £330 with Heritage. That's with me being a young, immature 23 year old yob too
.
It also gives you track day cover, which is nice if you have a higher value car I guess!

What sort over track cover does that include? Also whats the excess on/off the track?lugy wrote:My car is on a limited mileage policy, 3k/year and I pay £330 with Heritage. That's with me being a young, immature 23 year old yob too.
