When on open road the needle goes right down to on the blue zone and stays there. In traffic she goes up pretty quickly to dead centre and stays there- no flickering

Engine is not overheating or losing coolant

Diagnosis anyone - anything to worry about?

many thanks

Sounds like normal to me.

My E36 328i (M52) goes quickly up to the half way point and sits there, as did my E38 728i with the same engine.

While motorway driving, the needle does drop, but not all the way to the blue.

Nothing to worry about if you ask me.
