Will a m tech 2 e36 steering wheel fit on to a car which has a air bag steering wheel ? is the fitment the same?

I'm pretty sure it will physically fit the column but there are differences in the horn wiring / slip ring. Plus you'd have to do something with the airbag wiring otherwise the light will be on all the time and it'll fail the mot.

It'll fit but you need to both remove the bulb and tape over the inside of the warning light - take the cluster apart for that because even with the bulb out, the airbag light still glows slightly. The horn wiring can be a pain in the arse. You need to snip the horn connector from the old steering wheel and solder the brown power wire to the slip ring contact and earth the other side.

so it will fit on to the colum and bolt up on early and later cars?
