I nearly broke my ankle whilst using a trolley jack as a makeshift front-spring compressor :o:

As soon as i undid the top bolt, the jack shot backwards so fast that i didn't have time to move out of the way!

Re-fitting the propshaft on Hoshy's 318is supercharger abortion (no offence ash :)) with me pulling a 1/2 inch ratchet, with my body weight behind it, to tighten the bolt, and my mate holding the nut with a spanner. Socket slips, ratchet smashes me in the centre of the forehead, ensues muchos blood and pain. :(

Messing about with my stero with the live feed with out disconeting the battery, figured out why the stero was not working for it but getting an electric shock and jumping when your over 6.6 makes for painfull contact with body of idiot DIY'er and Body of e30.

Flicking off the spring clip for one of the electrical connectors with a terminal screwdriver, I misjudged it and went through my lip and chipped a tooth.

i was unhooking the nasty spring clip thing that holds the indicator onto the headlight on a 205 a few years back. nasty french plastic exploded, spring came out, poked myself in the face with a flat bladed screwdriver. it went though my lip and wedged between two teeth!

lucky it missed my eye really

Most annoying one for me was mis-judging the BMW jack's tendency to swing inwards towards the bodywork on lowering my first E30 following a wheelchange and denting the door :x

i've had that too, the spring brushed my hair on it's way past my face (while i threw myself backwards). i was working on a bit of plywood and the shock of the spring hitting the ply made my knees, ankles, wrists etc hurt like hell. had pain everywhere and honestly didn't know if it had hit me 8O
took ages for the spring to come back down, i'm guessing 5 - 10 seconds then, boiiiing! :D

not on my e30 but my astravan. my recent(june) chopping up my hand by the electric rad fan. 22 stitches in all with the corner of my palm sliced to the bone and a severed tendon in my thumb requiring a 2.5 hour op under general anaesthetic to fix the tendon and nerve damage followed by 7 weeks in a cast and physio. its back to 95% but still a bit tight and sore when its cold. these pics were 2 weeks after when getting the stitches removed.

A face full of pressureised fuel when i forgot to disconnect fuse 11 and pulled of a fuel hose going to the injector rail.

My eye's burned like mad!! and i even had fuel in my mouth.

Wont forget fuse 11 again.

The worst part was that i needed to get the hose back on to stop the fuel going everywhere before i could go and atend to my fueled up face!
