Are these not strong engines?
Oil leak common problem/easy fix?

I assume it is a V8?
Which manual box would be used?

dude, to me, Kiev is a long way, london is a daytrip!

yeah its v8-4valves per cyl and this is an early one-4.0 instead of the 4.4 one

nikasil issues abound

as for the gearbox, pass :D

im 99% sure that will be an auto tony. m60 lumps had nikassil issues didnt they? an everett article once informed me that you must NEVER stop adn start them for short journeys; once they are turned on they must be left to warm up completely then switched off, this is what iv read. your on the rite track i think.

re you going to swap running gear too?

pussy! none of that m20 wrongness. its less advanced that your current lump. get an e34 525 with the m50 lump and do it, and use the five stud running gear, beast!

only problem with your plan 318-is is that e34 suspension wont fit on the e30

needs to be a mix of e36/compact stuff or e30m3 gear.
