Hi all, my crank harmonic damper is heaver than my flywheel (S38B38) should I get it lightened? I looks like it's made from solid steel with no rubber.

I removed the AC pully and had it balanced that's all. It just seemed strange that it was so heavy but I'v heard most m power engines have the heavy damper so who am I to argue with the M devsion

get the bottom end re balanced with that new flywheel.

I've got the exact same flywheel to fit next week to my M5, should be a nice improvement over my noisey dual mass.

That flywheel will be great, where did you get it from?

I have one on an S50B32, feels like an extra 50 horses on the arse dyno

Hay there Tom, it looks like a TTV one, check out the ones from UUC, USA. I have experienced major customer service problems with TTV.

The flywheel is a TTV for a S38B36 rather than that dull mass beast! Have you fitted yours Simon? Did you use the standard 3.6 clutch? I was thinking of getting the sport one but haven't decided yet. I had the harmonic damper balanced alone.... I will be removing the engine in the winter for some upgrades so I'll balance the bottom end later

My Dual mass has got noisey, i'm hopefully getting it done on Saturday with a bit of help from Barry, can't wait!
